What's it about?
The Afterparty is a Comedy/Mystery Apple TV+ show where a colorful cast of characters all gather at an event, where a prominent character is killed, and everyone has to solve their murder.In each episode a new character tells their version of the night and what they experienced. Their retellings are dubbed 'Mind Movies' by Detective Danner. We see life through their eyes, with a different movie genre that matches each characters personality.The show features clues and easter eggs throughout the series. Each episode contains a hidden message denouncing a suspect.Season 1 takes place at Hillmount Highschool's 15 year reunion, and it's afterparty hosted by Xavier. Season 1, episode 1:
When Aniq and Zoe are talking on the bleachers, there is a flashing light behind Zoe. The flashing is morse code for "Not the Fireman"Season 1, episode 2:
When the slideshow of Brett and Zoe play at the reunion, there's shots of them positioning their arms in a peculiar way. They're using Semaphore flag signals, and the photos spell out "Not the Puddle".Season 1, episode 3:
When Yasper enters a room of Xavier's to get Aniq a jacket, the back of the jacket he picks up has tour dates on it. The cities are also names of past presidents, if you put them in order and swap the numbers in for letters of the alphabet (1 = A), it spells out "Not Mad Dog".Season 1, episode 4:
On the closeup of Chelsea's yearbook, there is a student wearing a shirt with #1 written on it. If you follow the position they are looking and pay attention to everyone's middle initials, it spells out "Not the Lefty".Season 1, episode 5:
Near the beginning of the episode when Walt is in front of the bar talking to everyone, on the tv screens behind him there dots that spell out letters. They spell out "Not the Skier".Season 1, episode 6:
When Xavier and Zoe are in Xavier's plane, they pass by a billboard. Next to the billboard is a building, where certain rooms have lights on. If you slide the words from the billboard across onto the lit up rooms, you get "Not the Cake eater".Season 1, episode 7:
When Danner exits the Interrogation room you see a bulletin board, there's papers pinned to it, in the absence of papers you make out words that spell "Not the Bear".Season 1, episode 8:
There is a very short shot when Maggie is messing on Xavier's computer, she starts typing in numbers. The numbers are Base36 and spells out "Not the Oboe holder".

ABOUT HIM Ska band singer turned pop star and actor, Xavier is now a loved celebrity. He attends the Hillmount reunion to simply reconnect with past friends and acquaintances. Afterwards he throws an afterparty at his house, inviting everyone he used to know back from Highschool. Unfortunately, he is murdered at his own party, making everyone who attended viable suspects.
